Summary at a Glance
Roozshin doesn't need the internet for its core features. All your activities, statuses, and notes are stored only on your own device and never leave your phone.
We have no registration, we never ask for your phone number or email, and we display no ads.
What Data Is Stored and Where?
- Your daily statuses (workplace, leave, travel, holiday, etc.)
- The daily activities you log
- Custom activities and statuses you create yourself
- App settings
All of this data is kept locally in your phone's internal storage and is never sent to our server.
What Information Is Sent?
Each time you open the app, it briefly connects to our own server to check whether an update is required and whether we've posted any announcement for you. This connection sends:
- A random identifier generated by the app itself (with no link to your real identity)
- Phone model, Android OS version, app version, and device language
- The in-app browser identifier (User-Agent) that is sent automatically with every internet request
- Your IP address, which is automatically recorded by any server on any internet connection (the most recent IP is kept alongside the random identifier)
Important note: This information, together with the number of times the app was opened and the first and last connection times, is used only for version management, overall usage statistics, announcements, and abuse prevention, and never includes your activities, statuses, notes, or any other personal data you record in the app.
Support Messages, Announcements and the Contact Form
If you send us a message from the in-app "Contact Support" screen, the text of your message is stored on our server together with the same random device identifier so that we can reply; our reply is stored with it and shown to you in the app. Please don't put sensitive personal information in these messages.
If you write to us through the "Contact Us" form on this website, your name, email address and message are sent to our mailbox by email and used only to reply; they are not saved in the app database. To prevent mass-spamming, a hashed form of your IP address is kept for between a few hours and one day.
Through the server we can show announcements to all users or to one specific device, require older versions to update, and, in cases of serious abuse, block a device from using the app. In none of these cases can we see the data inside your app (activities, notes, etc.).
What We Never Do
- No ads: No advertisements are displayed in the app.
- No tracking: Your location is not tracked and we have no access to it.
- No data selling: Your personal data and everything you record in the app is never sold or shared with third parties.
- No extra permissions: The app requires only the minimum necessary permissions.
Backup and Data Deletion
Backup: The backup file is saved in a location you choose yourself (such as your phone's storage or your personal Google Drive). This file is accessible only to you, and we have no access to it.
Complete deletion: Since all data is on your device, uninstalling the app or clearing its data from Android settings will completely delete all information. We recommend making a backup before doing so.
Deleting server-side data: the technical check-in data of your device and any support messages are kept for as long as you use Roozshin. To have all of it deleted from our server, email your device identifier (shown in the "About Roozshin" screen inside the app) to info@roozshin.ir.
Children's Privacy
Roozshin is suitable for all ages and never collects identifying or personal content (such as name, phone number, email, or your notes), so there are no particular concerns about children using it.
